Skin Weft, also referred to as Tape Hair Extensions are put in with a very unique system which is completely seamless and extremely gentle!  Skin weft hair extensions are ideal for people with thinning, over processed or weak hair, for adding length or volume or even for adding highlights without the use of any harsh chemicals! Tape extensions enable the user to wear their hair up or down with no visible evidence of extensions!  They are made from a very thin, flat, seamless clear polyurethane strip that has a double sided tape added on to it. The tape extension is then sandwiched around a very thin section of your hair. This super gentle method allows clients an easy, SAFE and effective method of adding hair without the use of any adhesives on the scalp, weaving, braiding, bonding, or chemicals! This type of extension is very easy to care for and to remove! Application time varies from fifteen minutes to two hours.

Flat Track Extensions methods

Flat Track/ Micro-Bead Track Extensions:   Small micro-beads or clamps made of copper or aluminum are clamped to small hair strands creating a track. The wefted hair strips (hand-tied or machine wefted) are then sewn to the track. This method is somewhat flatter than the braiding method, and uses all of the clients own existing hair.

This method is also very easy to maintain. Generally the micro-bead clamps can be loosened and the weft lifted and tightened without removing the entire track and re-doing it.

Sew in Hair Extensions are done by braiding small sections of your natural hair and then attaching a weft by sewing it onto the braided section. This is a procedure that has been used for decades to achieve length or to add thickness. The advantages to this application method are that there are no chemicals used however if not done by a professional who knows different pressure points on the scalp it can lead to hair loss when the weight of the extensions pull on the sensitive areas of the head or too much hair is attached to the braided section. Jen is very experienced and educated in how to apply all types of extensions to ensure minimal hair loss! This method is more affordable but can be bulky compared to the other methods that are available today.

Strand by strand Itip Methond:

Itip, also referred to as, Hairlocs-Paris Hiltion-Micro Link Micro Cylinder. This gentle attachment method does not involve glues, heat, or chemicals. Tiny metal tubes (micro-cylinders) are used to attach the strands with a special technique to your own hair. Itips are easy to install and easy to remove by a certified expert. The tubes can be short or long, wide or narrow, or include silicone depending on which method works best with your own hair.

The cylinders are tightened to create the attachment. Applied in the correct way this is a strong and safe method that will not damage your own hair. This method can be a lengthy process and requires 2-5 hours. The cylinders come in aluminum or copper, different sizes and colors but also in different qualities. This method can be used with the highest hair quality. Top quality hair is always recommended for longer life and less tangling possibilities. Also, this hair can be re-used if cared for properly.

With our Microchet Hair Extensions you can add more length and volume without the discomfort of weaves and big glues. It's gentle, light and ultra-thin. You can even add hair to the sensitive top areaMicrochet offers an amazing and invisible application using only cotton thread to hold each individual extension in. It's the one I always say, if I could take my head off and apply extensions, this is the method I'd choose!

Hair Extensions do more than just add length. They can add volume to thinning hair, provide a temporary solution for chemotherapy patients and correct a bad haircut.

Japanese Thread Techniques (Strand by strand ) The strands are fully prepared and ready to use. (All handmade) - One strand is placed on a crochet hook (an experienced technician can place more strands, this works faster) - The client's hair is sectioned - One strand of Microchet hair is attached to one strand of the client's hair using a special thread technique.

Fusion hair lasts 3 to 6 months with proper maintenance and care, appear completely natural and can be styled using the same methods as natural hair without extensions. Fusion hair is attached though an application process called fusion bonding. Several strands of hair are separated and the hair extensions are attached in small bundles with a protein bond close to the scalp. If the process is completed properly by an experienced, licensed professional hair stylist, these hair extensions  appear natural and are non-damaging to the scalp and natural hair.

Advantages of Fusion / Keratin Bonded Extensions

  • Appearance – Fusion extensions use human hair only and are available in a variety of colors and textures to allow for a proper match      to the natural hair. When properly installed, cut and styled fusion human      hair extensions blend perfectly.
  • Long lasting – Traditional extensions last from one day to 2 months depending on the method of attachment. Fusion techniques allow extensions to last 3 to 6 months with *proper care and maintenance.
  • Non-damaging – If installed, maintained and removed properly, fusion bonding will not damage the natural hair.

Disadvantages of Fusion / Keratin Bonding

*Accidental bond detachment – Bonds can accidentally release if not properly cared for. Oil based styling products, blow drying, flat irons and curling irons can cause the bonds to weaken and release from the natural hair.

If hair extensions are attached by a professionally trained stylist and they are properly maintained by the clients, fusion hair extensions should not damage your hair. The hair we use at is by far the best in Hawaii & is is 100% real human hair and the bond has been formulated using a special blend of polymers that replicate the molecular structure of keratin. Keratin is a protein your hair is made up of, so if your extensions are maintained in the recommended way, no problems should occur.

Fusion or Protein Bonded Hair extensions should be applied to healthy hair. Hair must be at least 3-4 inches in length to be suitable for this type of hair extension; we offer a free, no obligation consultation, in which the client's suitability can be accessed and all options will be discussed.
